New Mayflower is dedicated to saving America. But it won’t be easy. Since the 1960s, progressives and Democrats have substantially succeeded in transforming the United States. They have created a powerful central government that now controls our states, schools, healthcare, businesses, and other institutions. They have instituted, defended, and expanded entitlement programs that create social dependence, generational poverty, and national debt. They have constructed the greatest edifice of taxes, regulations, and liability in human history. Most of all, they have established a controlling interest in TV, movies, music, and news, and they have used that power effectively to undermine Judeo-Christian values and to advance progressive morality. During these same years, conservatives and Republicans have experienced much failure. Our political campaigns have existed mostly within the framework of progressive issues and language, seldom breaking free—and seldom even trying to break free—into our own definitions, visions, and values. We have failed to respond to the fact that Democratic political machines are more powerful than conventional conservative campaigns. We’ve engaged in superficial optimism and foolish bipartisanship that have actually facilitated the progressive revolution. Most of all, we have failed to grasp the transformational nature of the war taking place within our own country. Don’t get me wrong. As a conservative, I’m not saying that progressive people are bad, or that conservative people are good. And I’m not judging any person or group. I know many progressives who are hardworking, honest, and faithful. Several I admire. I even know a few with whom I would trust my life. Conversely, I know some conservatives who I wouldn’t trust to park my car. Every cause has princes and scoundrels…

About the Author
Keith Simpson trained to enter the Christian ministry before joining the Navy and becoming an aviator. He went on to be an airline captain, labor union leader, community planner, and writer. His diverse experiences and love of the United States of America shine through in New Mayflower.
