About the Author

Shirley and Vernon Gilbert have long lived in Midland, Texas, a few city blocks from the family business they started in 1952. Their sixty-plus year marriage has seen the arrival of twenty-five grandchildren and numerous great-grands, all in need of creative stories from Grandma and Grandpa to pass the time.
