About the Book
Jake Kerslake, a wisp of a boy at five-foot-two and 94 pounds at the age of 14 was never particularly good at any sport requiring hand-eye coordination. But there was one thing he was good at: Running. Once the good people of Blue Harbor--and Jefferson Saine Douglas in particular--learned of Jake’s secret his life would change forever.
About the Author
Scott Ludwig became a G-Pa at the tender age of 54. After writing 11 books about life in general and running in particular he decided to try his hand at writing fiction. This is his first attempt. It is the story of Jake Kerslake--a 14-year old with a slight stuttering problem and the legs of a praying mantis--and the transformation in his life during the winter of his freshman year. While the book was written with an adolescent audience in mind, Jake’s story will appeal to parents, grandparents and even great-grandparents as well.
Scott lives, runs and writes in Senoia, Georgia with his wife Cindy, their three cats Molly, Millie and Morgan and an ever-increasing collection of University of Florida memorabilia and vintage cars.
