About the Author

Janie S. Torain, currently a high school teacher and a community college adult basic skills online facilitator, has a doctorate degree in educational leadership. She serves her local church and community as an Evangelist and Sunday school teacher. She has previously published her dissertation research, Virtual Learning: Is It Conducive to Student Achievement, and her master thesis, An Assessment of the Impact of Technology on the Performance of Exceptional Children in Computer Adaptive Testing in Person County. She has also written one children’s book, If I Could Quit School For a Day. She and her husband, Nathaniel, had 7 children, 24 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and live in Roxboro, North Carolina.
