About the Book

This book introduces a style of a unique fiber. A fusion between deep philosophy and creative poetry. ADAB society described the author as “the resurrection of the greater Neruda.”

SOUL magazine wrote: “History will prove that his new school of philosophical poetry will be the standard against which others will be measured.”

It is my pleasure, to once again, offer my highest recommendation.

Prof. Timothy Bucha, Ph.D.

A very enjoyable and moving book, and a great contribution to the global recognition of Canadian literature. Gouda’s books offer a plethora of original imagery:

Our love will be dancing around us, long after all the angels have died, and god is old and gray.

I don’t believe in love with no hurricanes, no earth quakes, no roaring militia storming the bedroom with heavy artilleries.

He wrote about jumping over the moon’s fence to seduce the moon’s daughter, climbing a woman’s breasts to unbraid her hair. The imagery in poems such as my bed is angry, synthetic love, the pregnant dream, a misspelled idea, a song with no lyrics, a night full sins, a loud sound under my skin, plastic lips - are samples of his unique fascinating style of emphasizing metaphors and profound imagery.

The incredible manipulation of the language makes this book one of a kind. A must for every art library.

Dr. Adel Josephs, Ph.D.

About the Author

Extracted from: an introduction by Hank Martins, in an interview for Science News Gazette; spring 2010 issue; and a review by ADAB society magazine, fall 2012.

----------------------------------------------

The author is a scholar with an elite academic status in both science and literature. He was described by “Science News Gazette” as one of the historically rare individuals who are gifted in both hemispheres of the brain. This is evident in his academic and practical achievements in both: Art, “poetry” - and Science, “chemistry & pharmaceutical research.”

It is also evident in his UoTGSS & MENSA’s elite IQ membership status within the marginal top percentile category of the “highly genius.”

He is a chemist who had first attended the medical school, only to realize that becoming a GP wasn’t his calling, and, as he poetically put it, he just could not resist the laboratory scent, the test-tube feel and his passion for analytical chemistry. He switched to pharmaceutical and environmental chemical research; and his graduate studies at the Masters and the Ph.D. levels were in analytical and pharmaceutical – medicinal chemistry, in both research and development. As well, he authored pioneer papers in environmental chemistry, two university textbooks, a medical book, and several SOPs that were globally named after him.

The author, who was facetiously called a “professional student” - has an extensive academic background that presents years of graduate studies in sociology, theatre and psychology; that were crowned with a second doctorate in literature. This rare integration of diverse academic resources is reflected in the caliber of his globally celebrated philosophical poetry.

The poet is also a renowned athlete with international football “soccer” participation as a referee and instructor.

He is a single father to one child. The author and his only son reside on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. He practices entrepreneurship as the chief research chemist – scientist of the commercial analytical laboratory, Optimum Green Laboratories Canada.
