About the Author

UK award winning author, Mary Bird, has extensive nursing and teaching experience. Formerly Course Director for AMSPAR students and an external verifier for NVQ in allied health. She has provided independent training for primary care and hospital trusts and continues her work as Chief Examiner for AMSPAR/ City & Guilds Medical Terminology qualifications.
