In practice there is nothing wrong with borrowing money to achieve a greater good provided the acquired debt can be paid back without creating any national adversity. Furthermore, in practice the reverse is also true and borrowing funds after reaching a point in which re-payment is impossible is considered irresponsible and an act of cruelty against the people in general and against those living under economic limitations already at or below the poverty level.
