In life we hope to follow our destiny Our destiny is driven by hope Never just hope to achieve your destiny Let your destiny fill you with hope. PASSION IN MY HEART I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me Hoping and praying for something to take effect Walking on pure hope to see what will happen next Wishing I was different or that something would change Watching television and daydreaming of another man’s fame I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me It feels like I’m living in hell asking God to pull me through Praying each and every night for one of my dream to come true Feeling a void in my heart that even I can’t explain Wondering why must I torture myself by living in this pain I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me Trying to live life right without making no mistakes Putting myself on that kind of petal stool causes nothing but heartache Trying to achieve a dream that seems so far out of reach Visioning of one day standing on a podium giving my acceptance speech I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me It’s hard enough that I grew up and was raised in a small town People who you thought were lifting you up in secret were knocking you down I think and I think of a way that I could achieve my dreams It’s not that much of an illusion as I may want it to seem I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me I have a drive in my heart that runs very deep Becoming a successful writer or producer would make me complete If my dreams don’t come true but I gave it my all I have a friend in Jesus who I can always call I have a passion in my heart that no man can see An illusion of this happiness is what compels me Sometimes we feel like we don’t have a clue We strive for a dream that may never come true You may be doing what you’re meant to do and you just don’t know Sometimes you have to take what life throws at you and go with the flow I have a passion in my heart that I can learn to tame I don’t need a million dollars or another man’s fame It’s only an illusion to think that only my dreams can set me free With the love of family and friends I find my true passion is just being me.

About the Book
Throughout the years, the way that we live our lives is based upon the amount of knowledge that we have gained or lost over time. Once we have experienced life lessons, we can then decide how to help others in need based on our experiences. They say that life imitates art, but for a lot of people their lives unfold like an epic love song. Poetry serves a way to express the happiest and toughest of times. Poems from a Dreamer includes everyday thoughts common to everyone, but which are seldom expressed lyrically. In life, we can chose to inspire, or we can close our eyes and pretend that everything is okay. Simple words can be used as encouragement; revelations about the inevitable can be subtly expressed. About the Author
Growing up in the deep south of Georgia, Catherine Clifton was raised with very limited resources, so her imagination became her best friend. She has a degree in accounting and is a military veteran. The love of her family—Linzy, Elise, Jaleal, and Kayla—is what keeps her balanced.
