About the Book

Mars is a remarkably earthlike world of vast potential, separated from us by as little as the strings of hanging beads in some homes separate one room from another. And, as with supernaturally abandoned space in some homes, only the ghosts of bad ideas keep us off a Mars we could make our own.

The purpose of this book is to allow the reader to understand how humans can step through those beads, exorcise those ghosts, to double the size of the human plantation and, at least as importantly, to usher in a New Era of mankind.

In this first volume of three, Mission to Mars: 2025 outlines a feasible program to solve the two main problems preventing humans from establishing colonies on Mars: political will and economic cost. The author proposes the establishment of an economically self-sustaining community on earth whose goal will be to transplant itself to Mars. Goerke argues that such a community can distill the worldwide desire to get to Mars, can solve the problem of political will, and can create the economic wherewithal necessary to transplant the community to the Red Planet. After reading Mission to Mars: 2025, you, too, will believe that the near-term colonization on Mars is possible!
