About the Book
To the Teacher: What this book does is give you a systematic way to organize a mathematics curriculum. This is mathematics across the broad spectrum of curriculum, i.e. the skills and knowledge that students learn from this program can be applied and supported in other content areas.
To the Parents: This book is designed to relate to you as a parent/guardian the importance of your involvement in your child's learning in this case, mathematics.
To the Audience: What goes on behind the closed classroom door? You are invited to my journey in teaching mathematics to and making a difference in the lives of underachievers. I had to listen to each student and learn from them "how to teach for their learning."
