...Not only do you need to come to God, you need to run to Him and what He offers. The ironic thing is that we humans have a bad habit of running from God when things go bad. We blame God; we get mad at Him and we move away from Him because we think the painful circumstances in our life are evidence that God is not on our side (which the devil just loves because we are playing right into his nefarious hands).
But we need to reverse that trend and move toward God because He is the only true source of all the help we need. Our circumstances have no bearing whatsoever on God’s acceptance of us. In most cases God will actually use your painful experiences to get your attention so you will recognize how much you need Him. God will go to great lengths, including the use of pain, to draw you to Him and what He offers.
Please grab hold of the truth that God accepts you. Stop believing the lie that God is against you so you will be free to run to Him. Once you do, you open yourself up to stop living a defeated life and start living the victorious, fulfilled life that Jesus intended and designed you to live...
...Another critically important truth that must be remembered is there are no hopeless situations, only people who have grown hopeless about their situation.
Things are never hopeless because God is always willing to help if you will only turn to Him and seek His help. It does not matter how hopeless you may have become about your situation, either. It also does not matter how bad things appear right now, what you have done, what has been done to you, where you have been or what you have experienced.
If you are in a hole, Jesus is ready, willing and able to help you out. And it does not matter if the hole you are in was dug by you or someone else; His offer still stands. That is what God’s grace is all about. He wants to help you overcome your pain and live the victorious life He intended you to life...

About the Book
Help Overcoming Painful Experiences (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to help people experience a life transformation through their emotional pain so they can live the purpose-filled, victorious life God intended and designed them to live. We set people free from emotional bondage and empower them to live a transformed life.
To accomplish our purpose, the H.O.P.E. program was designed to help people 1) resurrect hope, 2) overcome emotional pain from a variety of issues, 3) build a safe and healthy support network, 4) comprehend the truths about God in the midst of pain while exposing and replacing lies, and 5) experience a life transformation through the healing and restorative power of Jesus Christ.
Our transformation model consists of three levels. Doorway to H.O.P.E. is Level 1 and centers on Three Truths About Life. These truths are used as encouragement for accepting and beginning God’s process of transformation. They also resurrect hope, expose needs and lies, tear down barriers to making healthy changes and “wet appetites” for experiencing how God can transform us through our pain.
About the Author
Dr. David R. Grimm received his Ph.D. in Molecular Microbiology and Immunogenetics in 1993 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is the Founder and CEO of Help Overcoming Painful Experiences (H.O.P.E.), a Biblically-based, nonprofit organization that focuses on helping people experience a life transformation through their emotional pain so they can live the purpose-filled, victorious life God intended and designed them to live. David authored the three books used in H.O.P.E., namely Doorway to H.O.P.E., Names of H.O.P.E. and The Spiritual & Emotional Coach’s Guide. His passion and desire to help those who are hurting comes from his own experiences with emotional pain and the Christ-centered support he received. David resides in Arizona with his wife Tiffany and his two sons, Jonah and Jacob.
