About the Book

Saxet is a historical fiction novel. Research shows that it is the only work of fiction dating from post-Civil War to the present time. Saxet describes a country that people relish living in. By giving maximum freedom to its citizens, they become very successful. Everyone who comes to the republic senses an air of anticipation that something good will happen. It’s the most successful land, and its citizens believe in giving back. Their motto is “From those who have much, much is expected.”

About the Author

Billy Jack Cottingham (Bill) was born on the Texas - Mexico border in La Feria, Texas. He went to public schools in McAllen, Texas. He attended Victoria College, Victoria, Texas; Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas; and, La Universidad de las Americas in Mexico City D.F. He graduated from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas. In 1963, Billy married Annie Pollok. They have two children and two grandchildren. Billy and Annie live in Dallas, Texas.
