Damage control was an understatement. The divinities in my mind had manifested into a full blown nightmare. What was I thinking? How could I have allowed myself to play the fool, yet again? I couldn’t wrap my head around what I was doing. I was a smart, independent, and very wealthy woman, and yet I allowed myself to do the one thing, I had promised I would never do; fall for a man who I knew couldn’t be trusted. Running away was never my strongest suit, but I felt as though my back was up against the wall and I didn’t know what else to do. I had no clue as to where I would go, but getting out of Atlanta was at the top of my list. My phone began to ring, but I chose to ignore it. One stupid choice, one weak moment, and now my life was forever changed. Thinking back, if I could reverse the hands of time, I would. I would go back to the day when I first laid eyes on Julian Foster, and I would run full speed in the opposite direction.
