About the Book

'68 is the story of several families living in a small town in Northern California and how they are impacted by the world-changing events of 1968. It is also a story about racial injustice and how, hopefully, we grow beyond it. It is about the lens through which each of us views the world, a work in progress for a lifetime.


About the Author

C.W. Spooner, a quasi-retired consultant/project manager, holds a B.S. in Management (no pun intended) from Golden Gate University, San Francisco. His stories, poems, essays, and the occasional book review appear regularly in the Monday Update, an electronic newsletter published weekly. His short stories have also appeared in Spitball - the Literary Magazine of Baseball, and The Storyteller. He currently resides in Carmichael, California, where he cultivates his passions for baseball, golf, jazz, and homegrown tomatoes.
