About the Book

A village in Eastern Ontario, Canada is the site for Murder On The Hill. Emily Blossom is the unlikely sleuth, a little old lady with a hankering for adventure. With the reluctant assistance of antique dealer, Pete Picken, Emily embarks upon a mission to solve their small town’s only murder, much to the amusement of the locals, the dismay of the constabulary, and the disapproval of her cat, Charlie. The novel clothes its dark side in the human tragedy of the Second World War, its ramifications of guilt and forgiveness, and the sordid resurgence of the Neo-Nazi movement in Canada. Emily and Pete even venture as far as the big city of Montreal, which creates an amusing contrast between small-town thinking and metropolitan anonymity. This lighthearted cozy-mystery is a good read with a satisfying aftertaste.
