This book is a guide for growing into our essential humanity. It is crafted for Christian groups but its universal approach is applicable to all religious practices. It explores our Spirit Nature (Trust, Love, and Freedom) and it uses the enneagram analysis of personalities to assist us in our Spirit journey. The book also describes the important role that community plays in Christian nurture. Its main purpose is to assist Christian groups to become human vessels for the Spirit wisdom pointed to in the great writings of the Christian heritage.

About the Author
Gene Marshall has been exploring and teaching these topics for over half a century. He has done so as a leader of the Methodist Student Movement, a seminary student, a local pastor, a chaplain in the Army, a civil rights participant, a member of a religious order of families, a world traveler and teacher, a student of world religions, an innovator of religious methods and modes of small group nurture, and with his wife Joyce, the founder of a nonprofit organization on religion & ethics entitled Realistic Living. Gene Marshall has a long history of participation in Christian renewal. For fourteen years he was a staff member of the Ecumenical Institute. For seven years he was the dean of an 8-week residential leadership-training program for religious leadership and inquirers from all over the world. He led seven similar programs in Europe, India, Hong Kong, The Philippines, and Australia. He has a bachelors degree in mathematics, a masters degree in theology, and has done extensive further study. He now lives in a straw-bale house near Bonham,Texas.
