About the Author

As a parent and teacher, Gwen enjoys working in education as she publicly speaks to teenagers, teaching them by using analytical methods for understanding the importance of having a high school diploma. She has worked in education for seventeen years for one of the largest school districts in the country.

Gwen Gistarb was born and educated in Houston, Texas, where she has taught on the secondary and junior college levels. She has two children, a daughter and son who reside close to their mother.
