Lesson 5: You Want Me to Get Rid of What? Day 2 1. What did Jacob tell his household to do in verse 2? (Check all right answers.) Those things have no power, but our God is all-powerful. Today people don't carve statues, but we sometimes give too much time and attention to things other than God. Today a foreign god may be a toy, a game, the TV, the computer or a friend -- anything that makes you forget to pray and worship God or read His Word. 2. Jacob wanted to purify his household or make them clean before God on the inside and outside.
