Tyrone Garcia was born February 9, 1961 in the borough of the Bronx, in New York. Bore from Puerto Rican parents, Tyrone resided in Bronx River Housing Projects where he lived a life surrounded by gangs, drugs, alcohol, crime, abuse, and racism. Growing up in poverty stricken neighborhood, Tyrone tried to find refuge within what was available to him and every other minority growing up in the projects: drugs and alcohol. Falling into the trappings of abusive narcotics and over excessive drinking, Tyrone ended up being another lost soul trapped in his own neighborhood without any means to escape. However, life changed for Tyrone and he was able to break
away from his life of drugs, alcohol, and poverty to a life of business, education, and suburban living. Now a former business owner, a college student, and dedicated family man Tyrone has taken the time to write down his story for all to read.
