About the Book
Sucking in a deep breath, he reaches down and picks up the child. If anyone stops him he can always say he was going to try to find the child's parents. Slipping quietly through the crowd and around the corner of the building to the truck he assures Bobby they can go find some ice cream.
Thus begins the kidnapping of his illegitimate son. RYAN has lived a privileged life, the son of a judge and socially prominent mother only to have this sheltered life pulled out from under him when he is set up by his employer and serves two years in jail.
Upon his release he finds he has a three year old son by an old college girl friend who instead of having an abortion had delivered the boy and placed him up for adoption.
Trying to turn his life around he involves himself in an architecural firm in Mexico and later opens a branch in Brazil. Fighting to remove the memory of the boy from his mind he finds he has become obsessed with having a son and forms ideas of what it would be like to kidnap the boy and take him to live with him in Brazil.
Would the kidnapping have happend if the boy hadn't run away to see the parade? How will he react as an adult when he learns his father had kidnapped him?
About the Author
In writing HE'S MY SON I've delved into the physic of what makes a man a father especiallyl when a son is involved. Does anyone know or understand this phenomenon? Perhaps it is built into our DNA and time will give us the answer as science moves more and more into study of the mind. This is my fourth book and takes a more serious turn than my previous books. The reader may admire the characters or feel anger, but you will feel something. I've tried to deal fairly with the main character RYAN and together I have traveled with him through his college years to his death. I hope, the reader, will find the road interesting and when you put the book down you will give thought to what you would have done in his case. After retirement my husband and I moved to Maui where we spent 16 beautiful years. We have returned to the mainland to be closer to family and now reside in Lodi, California on a pleasant man-made lake. Our family has now grown to welcoming the great grandchildren which is proving interesting and exciting. When I'm not writing I can usually be found in the kitchen baking.
