Different Authors/Different Journeys

Hugh-Full

“I spent my career in academia and authored six books—all published by traditional publishers, two of them by Columbia University.

When I retired I thought I'd try something new—I wanted to write a novel. So I enrolled in a master of arts creative writing program and spent my time crafting Silent Battlefields, a story about two families—one Jewish and one German—whose paths cross in Philadelphia three decades after the Holocaust.

When I was finished, I went straight to iUniverse.

Why? Quite frankly, at my age I didn't want to wait months or even years to see my novel in print.

I found the iUniverse staff to be very friendly and supportive. Everyone I came in contact with was extremely efficient as they met my needs and moved the process forward. Whenever I had a question, it was answered in 48 hours or less, clearly and accurately. And they didn't try to dance around my questions with oblique answers. Now I'm working with an iUniverse Personal Publicist who's helping me with marketing and publicity.

You know what I love most about iUniverse? Their entire focus is on the author. They give you all the professional advice you need, but the final decisions are up to you.

And, most importantly, iUniverse gave a voice to my first novel, Silent Battlefields.”
