Authors Guild Publishing Package (Back-in-Print)

iUniverse has partnered with the Authors Guild to offer a publishing program for Authors Guild members. Moreover, we have an online BackinPrint.com bookstore that showcases the many title published via this program.

Guidelines for Submission

1. Join the Authors Guild:
   • Review the Guild's eligibility requirements and use the online application form.
   • Or, e-mail the Authors Guild at or call at 212-563-5904.
2. Gather your submission package, which should include the following:
   • A completed Authors Guild Title Submission Form (.doc, 97KB), signed and dated to indicate that the author agrees to the terms laid out in the Participating Authors' Reprint Agreement.

     Note: A copy of the Participating Authors' Reprint Agreement should be downloaded and kept for the author's records.

   • Reversion of Rights Letter*: A reversion of rights letter must be obtained from the author's last publisher. Such a letter stipulates that rights have reverted back to the author which allows for the possibility of proceeding with a print-on-demand reprint of the work.
   • Any Necessary Permissions Letters*: The original permissions letters for copyright protected song lyrics, lines of verse, photographs, cover art, quotations and/or other material included in the work. If the original permissions letters are limited to a single edition of the work, new permissions letters may have to be obtained in order to include the borrowed material in a reprint edition.
3. Mail your submission package to:

4. If your submission package is approved, the Authors Guild will notify you and will direct you to mail your book package and copies of your out-of-print book to iUniverse.
5. After the Authors Guild approves your submission, gather your book package to send to iUniverse. Your book package should include the following:
   • Two intact copies of your out-of-print book in good condition (copies submitted to iUniverse cannot be returned).
   • Front-cover and back-cover graphics (if any) on disk. Refer to our cover guidelines for details. Non-digital graphics can be submitted for a $25 fee per graphic.
6. Mail your book package to:
