iUniverse Renews Partnership with Authors Guild

Publisher Offers Popular Out-of-print Book Republishing Program for Guild Members

Lincoln, Neb. - Sept. 30, 2003 - iUniverse, one of the largest publishers in the United States, announced today that it has renewed its agreement to provide on-demand publishing services to members of the Authors Guild, the nation's oldest and largest society of published authors, representing more than 8,000 writers. iUniverse supports the Authors Guild's Backinprint.com program for members with out-of-print books that they want to republish.

"iUniverse provides an important opportunity for authors with out-of-print books to reconnect with their audience," says Paul Aiken, Authors Guild Executive Director. "And it's paid off. Over the last two years, Authors Guild members have received more than $200,000 in royalties for reissued books."

Available at no cost to Authors Guild members, the iUniverse program features:

"We're honored to maintain our commitment with the Authors Guild," says iUniverse President and CEO Susan Driscoll. "Our relationships with leading author organizations validate iUniverse as a mainstream publishing option for authors in a variety of genres and disciplines."

About the Authors Guild

The Authors Guild is the nation's oldest and largest society of published authors, representing more than 8,000 writers. The Authors Guild has achieved much for individual authors through the collective power and voice of their members - from improvement of contracts and royalty statements, to protection of authors' rights under the First Amendment, to the redress of damaging tax inequities.
