
iUniverse Authors Land Awards, Best-seller Rankings
Achievements Highlight Quality of iUniverse Titles
Lincoln, Neb. - March 25, 2003 - iUniverse, one of the largest publishers in the United States, today announced that several of its authors have recently received significant publishing industry awards and rankings on important best-seller lists, as well as other notable achievements.
iUniverse president and CEO Kimra Hawley says the accomplishments demonstrate the high level of success authors are achieving through iUniverse's publishing programs.

Recent accomplishments by iUniverse authors include:
- Brian Wiprud Wins Lefty Award - Pipsqueak by Brian Wiprud was awarded the Lefty Award for the most humorous mystery novel published in the United States in 2002. The annual award was presented at the Left Coast Crime Conference.
- Maureen Morah Smith Wins Multiple Romance Awards - Ghosts of Fire by Maureen Morah Smith recently landed the following awards: the Romance in Color Reviewers' Choice Awards for New Author of the Year and Romantic Suspense of the Year; and the Shades of Romance Magazine Readers' Choice Awards for Best Multicultural New Self-Published Author of the Year and Best Multicultural New Self-Published Book of the Year.
- Aimee Liu Makes L.A. Times Bestseller List - Flash House by Aimee Liu recently made The Los Angeles Times bestseller list and received a prestigious "starred" review in Publishers Weekly.
- Dave Distel Reaches #2 on Barnes & Noble - The Sweater Letter by Dave Distel reached number 2 on the barnesandnoble.com sales list for the true crime murder genre.
- Ted Rall Guest Stars on "Real Time with Bill Maher" - Pulitzer Prize nominee Ted Rall, author of Gas War: The Truth Behind the American Occupation of Afghanistan, is a regular roundtable guest on the political commentary program, "Real Time with Bill Maher," on HBO.
