Author Discounts

Ordering Copies of Your Finished Book

To purchase copies of your own books with your author discount, use our simple and convenient Direct Author Purchase Form. If you experience difficulties while placing an order, you may contact our book orders department.

Once we have received your order, we will e-mail, fax or call you and provide an order confirmation number. If you do not receive a confirmation message from us, then we did not receive your order. If this should happen, please contact us again to ensure that your order is placed.

After your order has been printed, assembled and boxed, you will receive a second confirmation e-mail that includes your UPS tracking number (if you selected UPS delivery). To check the status of a non-UPS shipment, please contact Customer Service.

Book orders cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable, except in the event of poor print quality. Please report quality or quantity issues to Book Orders within three business days of receipt of the order.

Book Discounts for Author Events

iUniverse offers a discount to authors who have arranged special events such as book signings. To qualify for this discount, the event for which the books are purchased must be listed in the Author Event Calendar. Submit your event by clicking on the "Add Event" link. Your event will receive approval within two business days, at which point the books may be ordered at a discount. All books must be drop-shipped directly to the retail outlet or public venue hosting the event.

If the retailer is ordering the books: A retail book signing special discount of 40 percent off the list price will apply to purchases of twenty (20) or more paperback copies made by retail outlets—defined as vendors purchasing books for resale directly to the consumer—for a public author event at a recognized venue. The author will receive royalties for these purchases.
If the author is ordering the books: An author book signing special discount of 45 percent off the list price will apply to purchases of twenty (20) or more paperback copies made by an author for a public author event at a recognized venue. Please note that authors do not receive royalties for books that they purchase.

* Orders must be for a single title, same print format, shipped to single address, no mix and match. All volume discount orders must be prepaid. Author purchases are royalty exclusive and non-returnable. Does not include author event discount purchases. Shipping charges are not included. Discounts apply to your book's retail price.

** The special 45 percent discount on your first order of thirty (30) or more paperback books is not calculated when ordered online. To receive this discount, contact our book orders department.
