About the Book
The Land Within (2001) is the fourth volume in the life's work in poetry (1975-) of the poet and film historian, L. E. Ward. Ward's previous volumes, all published by iUniverse, include The Collected Poems (1999), Portraits of Life (2000), and The Child Who Loved Movies (2001). Ward's books are the only books of poetry in history published about the movies; his other topics include the arts and literature, gay eros, humanism and human rights, the ancient world and world-paintings.
About the Author
L. E. Ward has published four books of poetry. His writings also include 1,000 published articles on American film history. Ward?s writings have earned him many awards, nominations, and career honors, both cultural and civic. He holds an M.A. in Literature, and was a college literature teacher (1967-1974). He is the son, and only child, of the late Leon E. Ward (1898-1970) and Lillian E. Ward (1907-1999).
