iUniverse and Berrett-Koehler Publishers Open Book Editions Contest

iUniverse and Berrett-Koehler Publishers are calling for entries in the 2012 Open Book Editions Contest. You are invited to submit either a book proposal or a five-page manuscript excerpt that corresponds with the Berrett-Koehler mission—Creating a World That Works for All—for a chance to begin your publishing journey with iUniverse and Berrett-Koehler.

Contest Prizes

  1. The Grand-Prize Winner will receive a free Focus Open Book Editions publishing package. *
  2. The Second-Place Winner will receive a 50% discount on a Focus Open Book Editions publishing package. **
  3. The Top Ten submissions will receive a 20% discount on a Focus Open Book Editions publishing package. ***

How to Join

To join, read the official contest rules, fill out the form provided on this page, and submit your book proposal of no more than 2500 words or five-page manuscript excerpt through obecontest@iuniverse.com.

We will be accepting electronic submissions from June 1, 2012, until June 14, 2012. Top 10 finalists will be announced on Twitter via @bkpub on June 18, 2012 and winners will be announced through Berrett-Kohler’s Twitter, newsletter, at their Annual Shareholders Meeting and on the iUniverse Twitter on July 19, 2012.
