The murders are believed to be the work of Ted Bundy. “In Infamy, Barth has fused fact with fiction to sketch in what experts say is a maddeningly incomplete portrait of the real-life Bundy,” The Inquirer said.

Jerry Parks, author of ten books including Teacher Under Construction: Things I Wish I’d Known, Help! My Child is Starting Middle School!, and So, You Want to Become a National Board Certified Teacher?, was recently inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame. Parks currently teaches 7th grade social studies and has been teaching for 24 years. The National Teachers Hall of Fame promotes education and inspires others to join the teaching profession.

Wysocki Discusses Grave Findings in The Chicago Tribune
Gina Wysocki, author of Digging Up the Dirt, was recently featured in The Chicago Tribune article where she links the 19th century grave of a little girl to her living descendents who have been searching for her since the 1980s. A small white gravestone, with the name ‘Janete’ carved into it, was found in a pioneer cemetery. Wysocki’s curiosity led her to find the living relatives of the girl. To her surprise the family had discovered her brief life while researching their family history. They had searched for Janette’s grave for decades. The article describes the family mystery and the discovery of Janette’s grave.

Arrington’s Kerosene Cowboys Made into a Major Motion Picture
The Reno-Gazette Journal reports filming for Randy Arrington’s naval aviation action novel, Kerosene Cowboys, was recently wrapped up. The movie, directed by Mario Van Peebles, is about an elite squadron of U.S. and Russian pilots executing covert missions in the Middle East. Kerosene Cowboys stars actors Shane West, Rachel Leigh Cook, J.C. Chasez, and Bill Pullman. The film was completed on location in Reno, Nev., and is scheduled for worldwide release in April 2010.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recently featured 11-year-old author Arden Baila. After recognizing an opening that could fill a void, The Marietta, Ga., preteen asked her mother, Melissa Baila, to help write a book. The book, Summer of the BFFs, resulted in Baila becoming the youngest author to ever be hosted at a local Borders store. “That's a really hard market to tap into,” said the Borders’ manager. “Even the best adult authors can only write so many books. And it's from their perspective. It's not the same as being 11 or 12 years old."

Variety reported that the Yari Film Group purchased the screen rights to Randy Arrington’s naval aviation action novel Kerosene Cowboys: Manning the Spare. Casting and director deals are still in the works, while filming is anticipated to begin in August. Filming will take place in Nevada and in various locations across Russia with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Fighter Weapon’s School and multiple Russian air force bases.

Newsday's Robert Kahn profiled an upcoming stage performance of Elliott Levine's The Remembered in its Oct. 8 edition. The Remembered is a play that focuses on the personal experiences of those who visit and leave letters at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The performance piece, which takes place at Hofstra University's John Cranford Adams Playhouse, includes excerpts of letters that can be found on the memorial's virtual wall. "For his play," Kahn said, "Levine selected anecdotes that were written mostly during the online site's first week of operation."

Author Barney Rosenzweig's iUniverse book Cagney & Lacey…and Me was prominently featured on the May 14, 2007 edition of ABC's popular daytime talk show, The View. Rosenzweig produced the 1980s television show Cagney & Lacey. He is also married to Sharon Gless, the actress who portrayed Chris Cagney. Gless and Tyne Daly, the actress who portrayed Mary Beth Lacey, appeared on The View to promote both Rosenzweig's book and the release of the classic television show on DVD. Producers of The View gave a copy of Rosenzweig's book to each member of the studio audience. After the show, Cagney & Lacey…and Me began to climb the charts at Amazon.com, making it up to around number 850 at last report.

Carole Barker’s psychological book Crush was recently favorably reviewed by field expert Marc D. Feldman, M.D., Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the University of Alabama.
