Colletti highlighted parts of the book and interviewed high school students on the ways they planned to use the book. Walt Balenovich Travels onto Canada AM

CAAfter traveling the world in his wheelchair, Walt Balenovich, author of Travels in a Blue Chair, stopped by one of Canada's most popular nationwide morning TV programs, CTV’s Canada AM. Also known as North America's Disabled Adventurer, Balenovich shared some of the adventures, tragedies and romantic anecdotes from his book with anchor Marci Ien. In the March 24, 2008, edition of Woman's World, Erin Bell shares the story behind her story of chronic stress, Miss Diagnosed: Unraveling Chronic Stress. The article detailed the events in Bell's life that led up to developing an elevated cortisol level and the 15-year journey she took in order to finally be diagnosed. "It's not all in your head!" said Bell. "Stress can be life-altering. But now I feel like a new person!"

Alex Wright, the author of How to Get and Keep A Good Man: From Successfully Single to Happily Married, was one of the experts weighing in on “The Ex-factor” in the March 2008 edition of ESSENCE. Wright, a relationship coach, offered his expertise on why one of the relationships that formed the focus of the article fell apart. “Women think the guys aren’t ready,” said Wright, “but the truth is, they’re often not the right woman for that guy.”

Ammini Ramachandran's Grains, Greens, and Grated Coconuts: Recipes and Remembrances of a Vegetarian Legacy appeared on Saveur magazine's 2008 Top 100 list. Making the list at No. 76, along with three other self-published cookbooks, the article said, "Unfiltered culinary passion seems hard to come by in cookbooks these days, which is why we celebrate the new generation of Self-Published Cookbooks."

Abu Ghraib Through the Eyes of Michael Keller in St. Petersburg Times

The St. Petersburg Times (St. Petersburg, Fla.) reports on the struggle of Michael Keller to end torture at Abu Ghraib. The Abu Ghraib prison was originally known as the place where Saddam Hussein's government carried out torture and executions and later made headlines for acts of torture committed by some personnel of the 372nd Military Police Company of the United States. A sergeant who was assigned to the infamous prison, Keller's story is told for the first time in the recently published book Torture Central: E-mails from Abu Ghraib.

Lisa Wagner and Elementary School Authors Featured in the Daily Record

Twenty-two 9-year-old authors were featured in a heartwarming article for the Daily Record (Mount Olive, N.J.). With the help of their second grade teacher, Ann Scotland, the students embarked on a two-year project: compiling their own stories of random acts of kindness. Author Lisa Wagner, who led the project, brought together the essays to create the iUniverse title, Treasures of a Teacher's Heart.

Pradeep Anand, the author of An Indian in Cowboy Country: Stories from an Immigrant's Life, took center stage in a feature story for the Houston Chronicle. The article focused on the theme of Anand's novel, the migration experiences of Indian Americans in Houston. The writer said, "But many readers in Houston's large and growing immigrant community say An Indian in Cowboy Country is about their lives, as well."

Sharon Lund, the author of Sacred Living, Sacred Dying: A Guide to Embracing Life and Death, was featured in the November 2007 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. In the article titled "To Beat the Unbeatable Foe," Lund detailed her life from discovering she was HIV-positive in 1986 to finding love and not only acceptance of her condition, but being able to view it as a blessing, making her who she is today. At one point, Sharon had only three T cells, "Yeah, I call them Hope, Love and Laughter," said Sharon, "They're always with me."

Elliott Levine's The Remembered Makes Memorable Impression in Newsday

Newsday's Robert Kahn profiled an upcoming stage performance of Elliott Levine's The Remembered in its Oct. 8 edition. The Remembered is a play that focuses on the personal experiences of those who visit, and leave letters, at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The performance piece, which takes place at Hofstra University's John Cranford Adams Playhouse, includes excerpts of letters that can be found on the memorial's "Virtual Wall." "For his play," Kahn said, "Levine selected anecdotes that were written mostly during the online site's first week of operation."

In the Sept. 18 edition of USA Today, Leslie Lipton discusses how her experiences with shy eating have influenced her to open up to girls across the country about eating disorders. Lipton, the author of Unwell, says the shy-eating disorder, which is sometimes a precursor to anorexia, is rampant. "People don't seem to look at girls as needing food", she says.

For its Sept. 17 issue, Newsweek interviewed iUniverse author Vanessa Maltin in a health feature article for celiac disease. Maltin, author of Beyond Rice Cakes: A Young Person's Guide to Cooking, Eating and Living Gluten-Free, shares how the gluten-intolerant disease impacted her life as she brought awareness of her condition to those around her. Celiac disease, which was initially thought to be rare in the United States, affects approximately 3 million Americans.

September Camera captures the events as they unfolded from Scarborough's firsthand perspective at ground zero.

William Thiel, author of the iUniverse book A Promise Fulfilled, was a featured guest on the Tuesday, May 22, 2007 edition of Montel, the popular daytime talk show hosted by Montel Williams. The program discussed the topic of preventable medical errors and their residual effects on spouses and families. It also explored how some victims of medical mistakes have used their experiences to help others avoid the same tragedies.

Cagney & Lacey Promote iUniverse Book on The View

Author Barney Rosenzweig's iUniverse book Cagney & Lacey…and Me was prominently featured on the May 14, 2007 edition of ABC's popular daytime talk show, The View. Rosenzweig produced the 1980s television show Cagney & Lacey, and he is also married to Sharon Gless, the actress who portrayed Chris Cagney. Gless and Tyne Daly, the actress who portrayed Mary Beth Lacey, appeared on The View to promote both Rosenzweig's book and the release of the classic television show on DVD. Producers of The View gave a copy of Rosenzweig's book to each member of the studio audience. George Carlin, the GRAMMY-winning stand-up comedian who is credited with, "The Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television," offered nine types of people who would enjoy his brother Patrick Carlin's book Highway 23: The Unrepentant. Those who were in the armed forces, couldn't wait to get out of the armed forces, fell in love at first sight and hitchhiked a long distance on America's highways are among those the comedian recommends the book on his Web site.

Cagney & Lacey…and Me Gets Rave Publishers Weekly Review

Author Barney Rosenzweig's book Cagney & Lacey…and Me received an excellent review in the June 18 online edition of Publishers Weekly. According to reviewer Kevin Howell, "If MGM's DVD branch had the ingenuity of Rosenzweig, they'd buy up copies of this book to plastic-wrap together with the next season (DVD) release of Cagney & Lacey and create a real value package that no Cagney & Lacey fan would want to miss." Howell also describes the book as "compulsively readable" and "audaciously entertaining."

Levy details the author's long-time relationship with Charlie, a friend who passed away following a bout with cancer.
