About the Book

This book seeks to fill a void in the field of American Government and Politics: i.e. law and politics at the grassroots level. The case of Prince George's County in Maryland clearly demonstrates that a number of bold initiatives in American Government and Politics started at the grassroots level and found their way to the national level. This book is one more tool that will help instructors provide a fuller picture of the American polity.
