2009 DIY Book Festival

Six iUniverse authors received awards at the 2009 DIY Book Festival. Charles M. Grist, author of My Last War, received the top prize and was named the overall winner of the competition. "Grist's clear-eyed sense of duty and his compassion for all in the chaos of war is the real focus of the book," said DIY, "which serves as a great reminder of the human side of combat." Grist also won in his category, along with Amy Modica Myers, author of The Difference Between a Boy and a Man.

The DIY Book Festival honors authors of independently published and self-published books.
