139 Candice Reason Condominium Watergate South, 700 New Hampshire Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 0900 hrs, Wednesday, November 5, 2014 After a quick check of yesterday’s election results, Brad Jenkins had called Ken Middleton then he had gone into the kitchen and made himself a cup of coffee. Instead of going back to his study with the coffee as planned, he took a seat in the breakfast area and began to meditate. He had intended to read Miriam Bernstein’s synopsis seven days ago but when he had returned home from the office, he had placed it on the desk in the study and then had inadvertently placed something else on top of it. Subsequently, it had been forgotten for a week and it was just last night he had finally read it. After reading the almost fifty pages which Miriam had said had been the outline for a proposed novel which she hadn't got around to writing because of her involvement in their alternative to Al Jazeera, he had had a very restless night's sleep. Several times during the night, he had laid in bed wide awake with his mind running in overdrive as his thoughts ran wild. Finally, shortly before six a.m., he had made his way to his study and started work. First, he went through the synopsis page by page highlighting the pertinent parts. Then he booted up his computer and went to work. For two hours he typed, re-typed, and moved things around in a logical order deemed necessary by his thought processes. When he was almost finished, he had called Ken and told him he had something interesting to show him and asked if he could drop by for a cup of coffee. “Before I show you what I have.” said Jenkins after his friend had arrived and they were sitting on opposite sides of the desk that split Candy’s computer work area from his own while sipping coffee. “I have a philosophical question.” “Will it be necessary to add something to my coffee before answering?” said Middleton with a chuckle. Jenkins just smiled and instead of answering the question, he said, ”When was the last time we ever talked about overthrowing the Pellegrino government?” Then after a moment’s hesitation and before Ken could answer he continued. “Actually when did we ever talk about overthrowing anything? When have we ever talked about effecting a coup?” For a moment Middleton was speechless. “We’ve talked several times about getting rid of Pellegrino,” he finally said. “That’s not the same Ken. I’m not trying to get into a game of semantics but there’s a big difference between your answer and the words ‘coup’ and ‘overthrow.’ “Think about it for a moment. Think of the things we’ve said and done from the beginning. Uncle Harry is told to save the military. I’m told that we need to win the war on terror at any cost. Larry and his buddy Royce are recruiting militias. The Institute is created. We say we want to defeat the left. I could go on and on but I think you get my drift. “Back in February when we were meeting with Uncle Harry and your father, Jack said we needed a long range plan and a short range plan. At the same time Mustafa said something about needing to understand the difference between strategy and tactics. I think all we’ve done from the very beginning is a form of tactics. “Now let me change direction for a moment to back in July when I went to Israel. I wondered at the time, when we were getting close to being thrown out of office, why making changes to our alternative to Al Jazeera was such a priority. But that’s a different story. The real story is that Natansky and I barely discussed that little ditty for fifteen minutes. The rest of the time we talked about this vast left wing conspiracy and how it would affect Israel. “Now follow me closely on this. Remember what I told you when I returned about how the Israelis discovered the election fraud business and how Natansky was sent here to speak to the President.” As Jenkins paused a brief moment for effect, Middleton nodded his head in acquiescence. “When Natansky came and spoke to the President,” continued Jenkins. “George already knew about the voting fraud business because we had already made a presentation that was shown to him. Then hot on the heels of Natansky meeting with the President, he and I are having lunch together and during lunch I’m asked how easy would it be to effectuate a coup here in this country. While he said that in the context of something else, there was no mistaking what he really meant. That was the only time since we made our discovery that any mention of a coup was ever made until this.” said Jenkins as he handed Middleton four type written pages. “What’s this,” asked Middleton? “It’s a four page outline I prepared based on Miriam’s synopsis. “I’d like you to read Miriam’s synopsis which is almost fifty pages long and the outline I prepared and give me your two cents worth. I’ve also got a copy of each in another envelope for you to give Jack for his comments. I’ll give Mustafa a copy of everything tonight when he gets back from the Pentagon.” “Mind if I take a quick peek at the outline?” “Not at all.” “My God,” said Middleton thirty minutes later after he finished reading the outline. “What the hell is this? What the hell was Miriam’s synopsis all about?” “It was for a story about how to overthrow the government of the United States without the American public ever knowing.”
