ANN'S LETTERS were Preserved, Personal, Private, Previously un-Published, but often, Privileged and Public. Written by Civil War troops, their families and friends. YOU ARE INVITED! Follow their travels through the War. Share their stories. Experience their feelings, and Understand their actions. Peer into unique windows of Life at Home, soothing the troops fighting the Civil War. Discover what the Families were facing while their Dads and Brothers were away. Experience the threats of diseases on every side, with births and deaths, and misery, a part of Every Day. Realize the anxieties, of hoping your loved ones were OK. Appreciate the welcome support of friends and neighbors, which was needed to survive. Congratulate the Heroes, often being the Wives and Children, who kept the home and community safe.Thank the troops who defended their beliefs. Bless the Patriots who helped their World evolve and become stronger. Honor those who saved these letters so we could look through these Windows onto OUR HISTORY. About the Author

Jerry is currently retired in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife of 56 years, where they enjoy their 4 married children and 6 grandchildren. His Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Toledo, Oil industry, Chemical and Laser experiences have included Manufacturing, Research, Marketing, and Sales, as well as Technical Writing and Training. Although he was born, trained and started his life and family in the North, he has also loved living in the South for more than 40 years. This has helped him learn the cultures of both the North and the South, to relate to the Civil War. His interests in family and education gives him a respect for family dedication and sacrifices in the Patriotic commitment to support troops and their ideals. Jerry knows that today's families are NOT much different from those of 150 years ago.
