About the Book
For years, Gregory L. Jones dealt with a stress-related illness—a heart disease. Adversity eventually caused him to become a stronger and better person. The thing is he ignored the need for stability in his life. As a result, his condition became worse. Heart Matters captures the struggles and the victories he faced. It demonstrates his trials which taught him wisdom, and his imperfections taught him that trials are stepping stones to miracles.
Gregory L. Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Rosemary Jones and Benjamin Reese. He was one of two biological children born out of wedlock. With hopes of overcoming his heart disease, he enrolled in a Thoratec Heart Mate II Research Study, at Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Thereafter, he lived a fairly normal life and he had a normal daily routine. He was appointed President of the Jones Family Fund and he became a Certified Food Service Manager through the Chicago Department of Public Health. He was an entrepreneur for Jones Family Catering.
Heart Matters was written in memory of the life and legacy of Gregory L. Jones by his loving mother, with hopes of encouraging others how to overcome their struggles. He was successful and inspired thousands of people. He finally surrendered to the fact that God; with all of his splendor and glory is the answer to life's difficulties. The Lord gave him the strength and the endurance he needed. He finally understood that with God, all things are possible. Many lives has changed as a result of reading this book.
About the Author
ROSEMARY JONES earned an associate’s degree in applied science. She worked in the writing center at Kennedy-King College for three years. She is an in-home health care aide for Gareda Nursing Services. She is presently working on her BA degree. As the mother of Gregory L. Jones; she witnessed his struggles. She lives in Sauk Village, Illinois, with her family. In January 2011, she was appointed Overseer of: Double for Your Trouble Holiness Worship Center in Chicago, Illinois.
