In a city hardened by cynicism and repression, comes Jake Santos. A hard edged veteran NYC Detective, who must come face to face with the day he never wished would ever come. Julie Ann Micheals, a young innocent woman in search of a new journey; she sets forth to the bright lights of the big city, looking for a new lease on life. Eusebio Santana, an individual so cold and relentless, to stare at him, is to gaze into the very fabric of death itself. Plagued by his years of wrongful incarceration, Eusebio orchestrates his release with the aid of an outside contractor whose own thirst for bloodshed overshadows his own; they set forth to reclaim the very streets which made him a feared man. With the entire city as their playground, the lives of Jake, Julie and Eusebio become intertwined game pieces as vindication and love become the trajectory for tragedy and triumph, for all three players. As the fall of a city becomes evident, so does the efforts of one man who must choose for the love of his city, the demise of his eluding enemy or for the love of a woman he has barely come to know........

The summer’s night breeze whispers along its generated path, refreshing the countless pedestrians which find themselves electrified by the cool crispness of the night air. Nocturnal activities become the norm as the sun gives way to his estranged sibling, whose appellation is the Darkness. In this, the malicious despondent dwellers of the city come out to get hold of the diluted members of society. Those whom can barely contain the physical endeavor to go onward in life to succeed; only to find themselves unenthusiastically propelling themselves with no hope to generate a new commencement to brighten a better tomorrow. Tall, erected, wondrous marvels of marble are the aged fixtures of the greatest skyline in the world, but the many sodden and condemned structures of the city have become sanctuaries for the countless outcasts who find themselves scurrying for warmth and asylum. A young woman slumbers with no regard to the world outside, amongst the filth and degradation from the night before. Her only concern was how she would be able to purchase her narcotics to help ease her out of her suffering and pain. She sought after one of her faithful contacts, one who would possibly help quell the fire that burned inside of her. She proposed unto him many undesirable avenues of payment until his eventual decision stood. She was to service a number of his friends on good faith, as well as himself. This young woman tolerated and endured many hours of angst and torment while they had their way with her; and yet the one thing she could focus on was her reward, her medal of service for the commitments that she had prepared. When all was said and done, the realization had eventually struck home. As she bathed, the fruits of her sins bonded to her like a second skin. The more she craved for sanitation and repentance, the more she welcomed the images of a life she had once before. In her nakedness, she glared back at the image in the mirror. Her health was not well. She appeared gaunt and pale, but for reasons unknown she still had a fraction of beauty to her features. Her breasts were small but yet lithe; the waist to hip ratio remained the same making her very curvy and desirable despite the protrusion of her pelvic bones. The length of her legs were attractive but yet too thin with areas of delicate scarring. There was no fullness to her arms; they were strained and weak with marks as to where she would introduce syringes filled with her own brand of escape and hope. She closes her eyes for a brief moment recalling a day long ago when she shared a different existence with her mother and sister. She inhales the fragrance of home as the image of one young man surfaces. Virile and strong was he. A rugged handsomeness prominently showcased his male features. At the time she was introduced to him, he was attending the Police Academy and he was proud to be a defender for the great City.
