About the Book
These poems offer a wide spectrum of themes, situations, characters, and feelings an individual may encounter or experience in life. Their tone varies from lyricism to satire. As the title suggests, they offer a double taste of laughter and seriousness. They intend to touch the heart, challenge the mind, and sharpen the sense of awareness.
About the Author
Shadow awareness can be a pleasant and amusing experience. This collection of poems, fables, and parables is the outcome of observation and personal acquaintance with shadows for the past fifteen years. Social satire and lyrical verse alternate to provide a sweet and sour antidote to the ego's rigidity and gravity. Elizabeth Terzian lives in Southern California with her husband Berj, son Raffi, and daughter Hera. She teaches Christian Traditions and Myth & Philosophy in the Mythological Studies Program at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
