Children of all ages will love this true story, Rani, The Ugly Dogling. It is about a dog, Rani, adopted after living more than a year in a cage at a shelter. She proves that mutts are not only sweet but smart too! It encourages families not only to adopt “cute” puppies, but also to save the older and wiser dogs as well. As one-year-old Rani comes into the family, a problem develops with the older cats, Christmas and Sistagirl. They hide out, scared silly. They never lived with a dog. Will they ever come out again to eat? Will Rani fit in? Can the Mom and Dad devise a plan to integrate the dog and cats?
