About the Book

"There is an authenticity in John Duncklee's voice that you don't often find in other writers of the American West today. His characters are as lively as a wild mustang stallion, and as unpredictable as the weather. If you love a good story, treat yourself to John Duncklee.

Johnny D. Boggs, Award Winning Author and recipient of the Western Heritage Wrangler and Spur-awards.

"Grab the halter strap and hang on tight. Samantha Haggarty is an eastern gal newly arrived in the West. How she parlays beauty and common sense into a successful horse racing career and finds a fitting mate makes for fascinating reading."

Jim Woolard, Award Winning Author or THUNDER IN THE VALLEY

"John Duncklee molds a story like a sculptor makes a great bronze thundering hooves drum through this novel from the pen of a man who knows horse racing and makes it real a page turner."

Dusty Richards, Award Winning Author of THE NATURAL and 2005 American Cowboy Culture writer of the year.
