About the Author

Dorothy Hagan was born in rural Pennsylvania and lives in a suburb of Houston. She received a BA in the Humanities from the University of Houston. A former merchant seaman, her background includes working on U.S. Congressional and Senatorial campaigns, and school teaching. The Offshore Triumphs of Karla Jean, a companion novel, was published in 2012.
