Her fearless leadership symbolizes the conundrum of the soldier who finds her sworn allegiance to duty opposed by the abandoned virtues of honor and truth. Every willing sacrifice Vicara makes painfully diminishes her odds for a loving reunion with her son. Crilen desperately wishes to save her, but war is fraught with cruelty…and death. To deliver interplanetary peace, sacrifices must be made. What price for the atonement of two lost worlds shall ultimately be paid?
