About the time they thought the robbers weren't coming, a slender sickle of moon rose in the east through a clear sky, and by that light they saw them come around the bottom of the ravine in single file and across to the roadway. The moonlight glistening on their guns showed they all carried rifles. Captain Franks men held their fire until the robbers were bunched up about midway of them. Frank and his men opened fire. Two of the robbers broke into a fast run making it to the side of the stables and continuing on to the back entrance of the building. La'fay, watching from a slit in the front door told Abner, as she started running to the back, that she would stop them. She ran like streaked lightening to the back and saw them enter the building. Drawing and getting off two quick shots, she gut-shot the two before they could get their bearings. Facing Captain Frank, Cole, Billy, Pierre and Forrest, it was not surprising that the other eleven robbers lay dead in the middle of the muddy road.

A Clandestine League of Rebel Insurrectionist, commanded by Confederate Captain Franklin Dunbar, known only as Captain Frank, steal a rail shipment of U.S. freshly minted gold coins, in an elaborate scheme of re-minting the gold as private money to be used exclusively for the sole purpose of over-throwing the goverments Radical Republicans Reconstruction program in the years following the American Civil War, and reinstating Southern politicians into congressional and state officies for instituting the re-birth of the South.
About the Author
Jim Feazell Retired filmmaker and singer/songwriter worked in Hollywood for 22 years as a motion picture stunt actor and cinematographer, and also performed in folk clubs and coffeehouses as a singer.
After retiring from 17 years of stuntwork he headed his own company for 15 years in Hollywood, Ca. El Dorado, Ar. and Tucson, Az. As a member of Writer's Guild of America West, he wrote and sold numerous highly acclaimed screenplays, ie; A Deadly Obsession, Two Guns to Timberline, Redneck Mama, and others. Jim wrote, produced and directed the theatrical cult movie, Wheeler, aka Psycho from Texas.
In his twilight years, Jim has become a novelist. This book, "The Last Revolt" is his tenth book.
