This book is also for anyone about to open the doors of their new childcare business, anyone who has been in business for any length of time or anyone thinking about starting his or her own childcare business. Use the book to familiarize yourself with the basics of marketing and how it relates to your responsibilities as a childcare professional. You might be surprised to learn that you were engaging in marketing long before you opened the doors to your center. In the next chapter, you will realize how much marketing you have already done. About the Author
Taffy Gallagher is the owner of a marketing company specializing in services for non-profit and small business firms. She has been engaged in the leadership of several organizations including Educational Training Partners, the Chinook Tribe of Washington State, Five Threads, and the Childhood Matters Conference. After years of conducting marketing-oriented workshops for the childcare and early learning communities, she recognized a need for a convenient, inexpensive and easily accessible version of those workshops. This book is the result of that need.
