Isaac Hyde’s life is in flux. He has a wonderful wife and children, but necessity has taken him away for a year. Suddenly transplanted from familiar environs into a unique cultural arena of America, Isaac must adjust to an unfamiliar pace of life and form relationships with different individuals who become intertwined in his journey. About the Author
Ari J. Kaufman’s writings on education, politics, history, sports and travel have appeared in a variety of newspapers and websites since 2004. During that time, he has traveled extensively throughout 49 of the 50 United States and counts the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and eastern Tennessee among his favorite destinations. Kaufman is also the author of A Year in Americana (2006) and Reclamation (2007). A former Los Angeles schoolteacher, Ari currently resides in Indiana, where he serves as a military historian for the state’s War Memorials Commission and an Associate Fellow at the Sagamore Institue in Indianapolis.
