Are there really such things as soul mates? Is it possible to know the moment you set eyes on someone that that person is meant for you - and only for you? Yes, suggests author Blanca Moore, in her stunning memoir about her husband, Born for each Other. Moore was a young girl living in Mexico when she met her husband-to-be Jimmy, and instantly she knew he was the one and only one for her. Everything seemed against them, though. He was older than her and divorced, plus he lived in the United States! Her mother was not so certain about the match and the Church did not aproved. How could this relationship survived? In warm, conversational prose, Moore tells exactly how her marriage not only survived, but flourished. With Jimmy, she traveled the world, going to England, Australia, Singapore, Spain, and to the United States,. She writes movingly about raising her children and the difficulties of adjusting to a new life in a new country, but most of all she writes about the deep and abiding love she feels for her husband. Moore's beloved husband died of cancer, but this hearfelt memoir is a testament to their deep and shared love and an eloquent and triumphant legacy of a marriage that was truly meant to be.
