About the Author

L.E. Ward [Leon Edgar Ward] was born July 5, 1944, the only child of Leon Earl Ward and Lillian Estelle (nee Mager) Ward. His lifelong interest in literature, films, writing, the arts, human rights, and social justice have been reflected in 1,000 published essay- articles in periodicals on American film history; and in five previously published books of poetry- his life's work since 1975.

Ward holds the M.A. in literature, and has taught (at intervals) on the university, junior college and enrichment course levels, since 1967. He is listed by, and in, many volumes of biography, writing, and civic leadership; and has won many poetry awards and award nominations.
